Pizza delivery guy leaves 4 page manifesto after not getting tipped

Pizza guys really need to start writing these stupid letters to their bosses who put a delivery charge on pizzas. That’s who their beef should be with. And, I’m sure there’s some entitled driver out there that thinks you should tip 20% on top of the total including the delivery charge. Screw that, I’ll round up a few bucks and that’s probably it. What if restaurants charged a “server charge” that didn’t go to the actual servers, and you were expected to tip on top of that?

It's not as bad as it looks. I wish she'd posted the other two pages. The stuff about wanting to be a girl so he could shake his titties for drug money was nice, but I'd love to see the pages with the curses and insults.

I delivered for a while, didn't expect 100% tip rate. I waited tables before. When you don't do nearly as much and get 30 deliveries a night instead of 15 tables max, it isn't a big deal. I was never angry at low tips or being stiffed. Just wanted to get more deliveries. We also got a dollar out of the delivery charge though.

I don't tip delivery drivers because they make at least minimum wage - around $5/hour more than servers.

If people stop tipping on top of the delivery charge, the drivers will not make enough to maintain the job. If pizza places lose all their drivers, they’ll lose delivery business. They’ll have to remove the delivery charge

All this is true. Plus the government allows the restaurant to pay servers and drivers less than minimum wage because of the tipping expectation.
