If the waiter makes that much more money, maybe the driver should aspire to be a waiter?

Go frick yourself and your tipping society. I tip the waiter because he is being stiffed by his boss. I don't care about the delivery driver who isn't. He's no more special than the guy that makes minimum wage running a cashier at the grocery store.

The delivery charge is BS how are people to know it does not go to the driver ?? what is the charge for ??

I always tip over the amount but only a few bucks because I thought I had already tipped him on the credit card.

Anytime I’ve ordered delivery, it clearly says that the delivery charge isn’t a tip for the driver?

Take off the delivery fee and I’ll tip more.

Or... you can keep trying to tell me it’s not part of the tip at checkout

I don't know why anyone would be a pizza delivery driver anymore. Back in the day, you used to be able to make some nice change working for Papa John's in Baton Rouge--especially during football season. You got minimum wage, mileage, a % of the sales, and tips. If you were particularly cunning, you finessed your choice of deliveries. They've since stripped away almost everything that made the job a decent part-time gig.

The Coursey delivery area was money.

It’s gotta be fake but it made me laugh. It’s not the worst handwriting I’ve seen. Let a pharmacist help...

“And you not tipping is making it so I’m actually losing money working this job.

So please, next time tip your delivery driver. And if it turns out that delivery driver is me again, I’m probably gonna rob you. I’m only joking, but not really. Don’t risk it though. Who knows what a disgruntled delivery driver who can’t afford to eat that day is capable of.

Ok, just reed [sic] my words and don’t be cheap. After all a 20% tip on a $20 tab is only 4 f$&*ing dollars...which is only a lot if you’re a J—-...not in the religious/ethnic sense. Just in the cheap/frugal sense.

Oh, I forgot one thing...wait, no I didn’t. I’m just kinda high and so I need your tip money to stay toasty. If I had big tits and a nice arse I’d just whip out my tits and shake my booty and get all the drugs I could ever want. Sometimes I wish I was born a woman so I could take advantage of men like that. Then I remember I don’t have to sit down to pee every time or bleed out my arse for a week every month and calm down. Cuz having a weiner has its advantages.

OK, end rant.”

Choosing to not have pizza delivered to you because you do not wish to participate in tipping is acceptable. Tipping is a part of the process and I commend you for not getting it delivered to you since it makes you uncomfortable.

The guy at the grocery store does not use his car, insurance, and gas to bring you your groceries. He does not have that extra expense in his employment agreement.

There's no way I'm tipping 20% for a delivery where someone drives 5 minutes and hands me a box at my door.

If pizza delivery folks wanted a tip, they’d work at Sonic.

Delivery drivers for 40 yrs have methods to mark cheap asses. You'll get your pizza last if he/she has several runs, regardless of order time.

Pville PJs was very good to me from 11-15. But traffic got outta hand and made it impossible to make decent money on the 5-8pm shift(most common for us working as 2nd jobs).

People aren't pissed at the tipping portion. They are pissed that they are expected to tip on top of the delivery charge. Take away the delivery charge, and drivers will get tipped.

It's not like the pizza company is paying for fuel, insurance, and the driver's car depreciating. They're just taking the opportunity to rake in some extra money
