I would probably save your dog too.

99% chance that an OTer's kid is just fricking annoying and a spoiled brat anyway. probably wouldn't even say thank you.

Do you understand how dog breeding works you moron? Pitbulls were bred to be violent.

I'm not okay with trying to make these dogs become extinct. I have a friend who has a pit bull mix and it may be the sweetest dog I've ever seen. Great dog, but I am in favor of screening those who are owning pitbulls and making sure these dogs go into good homes

Well you might have a legit shot to win shittiest human being ever.

A pitbull is more inherently dangerous because if it's jaws latch onto you it has the force to inflict more damage than pretty much any other dog.

If a pitbull goes nuts on you it is just physically capable of inflicting more damage. That fact cant be argued.

edit: i'm saying the same thing in different ways for the moron benefit. maybe it will sink in.

It would effectively do the same thing. SPCA locations are overrun by pits and pit mixes. People for the most part don't want to adopt them and they are being euthanized.

A lot of the guys I played football with in HS had pits. They would literally walk the dogs down to the park as puppies, tie them up to a fence, and the little kids in the neighborhood would come by and throw rocks, sticks, or firecrackers at the dogs. They would do it so it would "make them mean".

We have an old black lab who we've never had any issues with. He's older and has arthritis so he is a little crotchety sometimes, but he's still never been aggressive with us or any of our guests. We were letting him out of the car in our driveway and onto the front porch one day when a young child came running across the street into our yard shrieking as loud as he could. Before I could grab his collar he lunged at the kid, knocked him down and stood over him while growling. I think he might have snapped his teeth once. That lead to a pretty heated exchange between myself and the child's parents (guests of some neighbors down the street), while my wife got the dogs inside the house. I felt bad for the kid (he wasn't harmed in anyway, wasn't even scratched from the fall) and it scared the shite out of me, but that guy was talking about shooting my dog when it never left my property. Honestly, if the kid had been behaving I doubt there would have been an issue. Still, seeing it happen scared the ever loving piss out of me. If there are kids playing anywhere on the street now I will make sure to grab his collar just in case one runs up on us again.

Yours just seemed like a fair post to respond to, especially since that little boy's photo may be in the second picture (I can't tell).

Actually people are way more dangerous than any pit bull.

What if that kid grows up to be a serial killer?

I love the "I know somebody with the nicest Pit ever" post. Pits aren't bred to have good temperament. No matter what you do its still bred in them to be violent. A Golden Retriever on the other hand was bred to have good temperament. I have literally never seen a violent GR and I've only seen a handful of non violent Pits.
