Pits were bred to protect children by being fiercely loyal to the infant. They are among the best dogs to protect YOUR kids.

Go to the good part of any urban area and you'll find them. Animal lovers often fit the description I provided, and pit bulls are probably unquestionably the breed most in need at shelters and the like.

I have no clue how many owners are in that category. I'm sure it is a minority, but it's not uncommon, either.

know a married couple, early 30s, wealthy, white, Christian, conservative, etc. who own one pit bull and have fostered some others.

Do they have children?

Yes, I have seen a friendly, well-behaved pit and pit owner. I get how you guys feel but the dogs are popular with those that do NOT raise/treat them well. They use them for guard dogs or fighting dogs. My neighbors dog is a big ole lap dog. It is a pure-bred American Staffordshire. Some of these others are mixed, I realize.

Another reason why so many are shitty owners. They think it is the responsibility of a dog to protect their child. The same reason their children grow up to be shitty adults.

I just don't see any other solution. You cant count on the owners, they have proved time and time again to be irresponsible

In 2015 two pits attacked my nieces and nephews and killed my parents cat. We called the police and the dogs attacked the police so they shot both of them. The owners said they were good dogs and the kids must have done something even though they came into my parents yard. I say shoot the pit owners and the dog when this kind of thing happens.

Let your dog wander around off leash and not being supervised onto my property. I'll show you how much your dog's life matters compared to a child's.

I have no need to prove anything. The police told us anytime a dog is on our property and acts violent we have a right to shoot and kill it.

I simply posted some heartwarming photographs of the elementary school that was mentioned in the news article. I'm not sure what point you're trying to make here.

Okay tough guy. My point is that I value my dog's life more than I value your kid's because I have a bond with her that I don't with your kid. If my dog and your kid are both drowning I am saving my dog first.

But your point is more on shitty owners than the dog 99 times out of 100. My dog (lab this time) is more likely to lick you to death than bite anything. I would gander that that is the case more often than not with any dog. People have been taught that these larger dogs are inherently dangerous when it couldn't be farther from the truth. A dog is what you make it, just like most children.
