The perp was captured and the officer is alive. Now the actual justice system can do what it's designed for instead of a cop playing judge, jury, and executioner. Seems like a win/win to me.
You have a whacked sense of reality, my friend.

Are you saying that you would've taken that beating instead of shooting the guy?

Where else in the world does 12% of the population get this much attention.
F them, let'em riot.
Not going to end well for them in the end.
The entirety of that 12% isn't beating up cops and rioting.

So our options are one dead, unarmed assailant? Or a cop with an arse whoopin?
That's as far as you can think? Didn't occur to you that the officer could have been killed, or that thug could have killed someone else? I'm sure you'll never bat .500 on stardized tests but you could do more than eat paste in the back of the class.

Yeah it's definitely an officers job to take a gun to the skull so that the suspect can be prosecuted by the legal system.
Zero reason to think that the officer could have or did sustain life threatening injuries

why do cops even carry Tasers if they aren't going to use them?
I'm not sure he was carrying a taser. This guy was a detective and I don't think I've seen a detective carrying one.

And this is why cops are afraid around a certain type of people. Which leads to more violence and continuation of the MSM's storylines

I've never seen a detective with a taser on his belt.

I find it frustrating that this is conveniently omitted from every discussion of these situations. Cops aren't wary and suspicious simply because of skin color, they're wary and suspicious because black males between the ages of 17 and 40 are committing almost half the violent crimes in this country.

Now the actual justice system can
give this guy three square meals a day for 10+ only to be let back into the system to inflect more damage?

I don't know about you all, but I have zero problem with this.

I hope somebody pistil whips your arse and we let the system handle it.

Cops on the defensive. Just what we need in this country. Inmates really are running the asylum.

Not reading but from the headline it sounds as if a cop if more afraid of headlines than a man with a gun. If so, he needs a mental evaluation.
