So do you expect cops to ask criminals if they are armed and when they tell them no the cop is to throw down his weapon and duke it out with criminals in a fist fight? Who on earth is going to sign up for that at $40k per year?

Although I would never be for the demilitarization, or dearming, of police, I was once in Europe with a few friends stationed in England. As we were coming out of a bar, pretty late, a fight broke out. I was extremely curious, as I always was when a bar fight broke out (young and dumb, I guess) and continued to gawk at the fight. My two buddies pulled me to the side and we watched from about a block away. As the lights pulled up I asked if they were going to physically break them up or taze them or what. They responded with "no, way better".

This peaked my interests even more. So I'm prodding them with questions when finally two more cars pull up and they turn to me and say "it's the dogs". As these cops open their door they hold the dogs back and give the POS' a chance to stop being an idiot, they dont, dogs attack. It was scary at the time, but I would love to see something like that here. frick the guns, just let a dog tear them apart and see what the media says then. Although I'm sure they would still spin it negatively, I would love to see it.
