Barely looks like it would handle a crop duster. Not sure how you land your G5 there.

I did a lake approach once and was blown away. Pucker factor goes up a notch once you turn final.

Reb, is Kyrles still open? If so, that’s a damn long-standing business!

Grew up in that area and was friends with the owner ,I knew he put it up for sale a couple of years ago don’t know if he sold it.

I went to high school right across the highway.

Up to you to guess which one.

Oh, and learned to water ski in that shallow little lake behind my dad's 14' bateau with that 20 Merc. Lesson for newbies: LET GO of THE ROPE!!

The old nut house is right there across the street. Mom used to threaten to send us there when we’d act a damned fool.

That's ESF, bruh. Have you tried the seaplane ramp there? I've heard it's lovely.

Took my Louisiana adjuster licensing exam there. I needed to get licensed quickly and they had the first open spot.

They also have an old civil war earthen fort right by the lake. Used to play in it as a kid.

When we were kids in summer we’d spend a couple weeks visiting our cousins in Monroe, and then they’d spend a couple weeks visiting us in Pointe Aux Pins. We’d meet at the old fort for the exchange. Had great times running around the old fort, looking for souvenirs.

Now you can’t even walk the grounds, it’s all wooden walkways over the grounds.

The folks that operate that place now are drug addicts, thieves, and criminals. I wouldn't land there for fear I might have an issue and have to use them. I wouldn't trust them to put air in my tires.

Lakefront is much more scenic, with far fewer deadly crashes than 2L0.
