Rock climbing looks like it's a great workout. Who woulda thunk it

No doubt. In my prime I might've been able to do 10 pull-ups straight. Rock climbing was never gonna be my thing

El Capitan is about a 3000' face. Even if it was 30' I couldn't see myself doing this, hut 3000' is insane.
I've looked over the edge of some of the nearby cliffs (Glacier Point, Taft's Point, etc.) and it is nerve-racking just to peer over that edge.
Absolutely no way could I see myself willingly wanting to hang onto the side with just my hands.

I dont understand a lot of things people do...this is a top 5 "WTH" So many other rushes out there that are still covered by a life insurance policy.

Highly recommend seeing Free Solo....it’s incredible what he did. He put years into studying the route, practicing, journaling it...I guess it’s about as “safe” as you can do something like that. The film starts off with him making it to the top...even so, your heart is racing and hands are sweating throughout. The ‘boulder problem’ was the scariest part for me...and for the people watching it seems!

Don't know what's so special about 3,000 ft. I saw people climbing the straight up mountains in Utah at zion Nat park. Don't see stories about them
