A lot of folks were pretty brave to mouth off to Chuck Connors' character on that show, calling him a coward, considering he's like 6'6" and looks mean as hell.

Chuck Conners - One of only 13 athletes to play Major League Baseball and in the NBA. The Rifleman was a badass.

He played minor league baseball in Mobile for a while back in the day. My ex-mother-in-law was his girlfriend during this time. Or at least that's what I was told.

not really pictures but pictures of maps.
How cool would it have been to have seen this stuff in person? Salt flats east of Rockies, herds of buffalo, wild horses, the first sight of the rockies, and the highest peak? I tried to zoom in and get most of the stuff, I could not find an "Indian Village" on the map.

When SO was young she went to L.A. to model in some fashion show. Chuck Connors was there, and she and two of the other models went to a post-show part at Connors' house. She said he was very nice.

Her dad killed himself when she was around age 14. She found him. To say she had a troubled life afterwards would be accurate. Sometimes suicide kills more than the victim. Meanwhile Archie found his dad in the same way when he was in college. He has excelled afterwards. Anyone critical of Archie should take this into consideration.
Archie actually cleaned up the mess from the suicide so his mother and sister, who were gone, didn't have to see it all when they got back home. That's a damn man right there. Archie actually thought about quitting football and getting a job to support his mother and sister, but his mother wouldn't let him. How that would've changed the football landscape for years had that happened.

Pike did very good considering the technology of the time.
The Spanish arrested him thinking he was a spy.

Chuck Conners was very proficient with the rifle he used in the series The Rifleman, a Winchester model 1892. He could spin-cock it with either hand and was a very good marksman as well.
