This is the perfect place to put a beer garden. You can literally call it The Dorm

Am i the only person that thinks LSU is missing out on so many opportunities by reusing these for other things?

West stadium were offices and labs for the marine science program until the new building was built in early 2000s. The roaches were legendary, had window bangers for AC which made the rooms tolerable, steam heat was ok unless it was really cold. Worst was noise from leaf blowers on monday after a game. They went on all day never seemed to stop

When i was in school they were used for teachers' offices. This was decades after they were dorms.
Id love to see the old dorms converted into luxery hotel suites for gameday weekends.

I've thought for years they would make a great hotel.

Make them hotel rooms the university would make a heckin fortune
They looked into it. Asbestos mitigation would be cost prohibitive.

Explored pretty well mid 90s. My recollection of how it was then:
North side was relatively updated and active dorms and academic offices. Very hippy feel too.
East was 80s esque sports offices then used as storage.
West was barren old school unused dorms.
Explored like 2-3 times. No idea why we didn’t take pics or anything. Didn’t even really take any souvenirs either. Pretty dumb looking back.

I was there late 70's early 80's and had friends that stayed there. When I first got to campus I had no idea that they had dorms built into it. My friends would say "I'm staying in north stadium" and I would just go .

The dorm rooms are small and they do not have restrooms.

I’ve been hunting for pictures of those dorms for years. I’ve just been wanting to see what it looked like. Thank you.
My step-dad lived in them for a semester in vet school.

Nothing, unfortunately. OP’s pics are the best documentation I’ve seen.
I’ve wasted a lot of time on google trying to find pictures of the living quarters.

In the 90's I think they were art studios for grad students doing their MFAs.
Even in the 80s I took painting classes in those. And KLSU had it's broadcast studio there til about 86'. I did a 3am to 6am show there and all sorts of freaks would wonder I throughout the night.

I think there's a lot of that, and it makes me wonder: is anyone still sitting on top of that stuff on gameday, or is it all just sitting there crumbling beneath the actual stadium?
Either way, it's pretty weird shite. I mean, imagine sitting there watching a football game and it's like, oh, BTW, there's this weird abandoned place where people used to live right under us. Guess they're not charging enough for tickets.
