At my little brother's Catholic junior high school, they selected the most pious 8th graders to ceremonially wash some feet. Little brother got chosen. My dad was soo disappointed when he declined to participate.

I do wash my feet, if that’s what you mean. But that is more of a hygiene thing than anything else.

Do you not wash your feet? You’re already in the shower man. It takes, what, 10 extra seconds? Don’t be lazy.

According to the Bible, Jesus literally said:

quote:

Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.

John 13:14-15

That is just a sexual humiliation fetish group at this point. It's not even political anymore.

I’m not religious, but I agree with that statement. It should go both ways.

Although saying Jesus “literally” said anything is a massive reach. But that’s a topic for another day.

Yeah, but I think this has less to do with showing compassion for the poor and outcast and more to do with showing public subjugation.

If you thought this movement wasn't a new religion, I give you exhibit A.

All these images are like manna from heaven for White Identity groups. Some reclusive baw in Idaho is going to get a new compound just from this one photo.

That is more a fellowship in Christ type thing, not a subjugation and public humiliation thing.

Just curious if you consider yourself a Christian? Or if you go to church?

Guessing that’s a no.

It’s absolutely ok if you don’t, by the way. I’m not religious, personally.
