Going after the weed market.

Winston, Kool, Salem, Maverick and USA Gold
just some of the fine options available from ITG Brands if you are looking for a new flavor

They did it to themselves.

I'm sure their stock holders are happy to hear that

“Who's done more research on the subject than the good people at the American Tobacco Industry? They say it's harmless. Why would they lie? If you're dead, you can't smoke.”

Has been one of the best dividend plays for the past 5 years, but it may be time to sell.

It’s a dying business. Literally.
Probably going to slowly convert those tobacco fields for cannabis.

The cocaine industry won't let parliaments go away.

Solid marketing ploy to make people rush to buy cigarettes thinking they'll no longer be available soon.
They better not get rid of my parliaments

Sounds like PM is tired of being trashy.

They should just diversify into caskets and burial business. They have the customer base “hooked”.

And focus 100% on vaping and weed.
There's a bunch of seemingly random things happening that point to federal deregulated on the horizon

Bought Philip Morris stock based on The Big Fella's recommendation over at the Money Talk. Dude owns a bunch of gas stations and had pre-ordered a Tesla. I thought he knew what he was talking about. PM was my worst performing investment the past few years. Should have listened to Wiki instead and bought some Bitcoins instead. I would have been a millionaire by now.

When I hear politicians and corporate shills say things of which I am skeptical, I often think of how the CEOs of the 7 biggest tobacco companies testified under oath before Congress and each said some version of, "I do not believe that nicotine or cigarettes are addictive." Youtube Link
Within days, internal documents were leaked that contradicted their testimony. An internal report from 1963 had a top executive saying: "We are then in the business of selling nicotine, an addictive drug effective in the release of stress mechanisms." LINK
It is a good reminder that many people will convince themselves of an alternative truth or just flat fricking lie under oath when money or power are on the line.
