A lot of professional rich women in NYC use surrogates to carry
This sounds like some dumb shite you saw on a movie you believed.
I'm not saying it doesn't happen, though.

Guilty on all counts

A Manhattan jury acquitted her of the top murder count, but found Jordan guilty of manslaughter in 2014.
What is wrong with these people?

Jordan was sentenced to 18 years in prison — but a federal judge tossed her conviction in 2020 over a procedural misstep.
What is wrong with this judge? How on earth could this judge be so wrong that Sotomayor, possibly the dumbest SCOTUS Justice in our nation's history, is the one who corrects it?

Sonia Sotomayor issued an order that was expected to send Jordan, 62, back to prison
Surprising part of the story.
First, why is any Supreme Court Justice involved with this case?
Second, Sotomayor is the least likely Justice I'd figure would send anyone back to prison

It prob happens less than he thinks but more than you do.
You’ve got to remember womens ability to produce eggs drops dramatically by the time they hit 30. The professional women are waiting longer than that to start families.

How is it that ONE Supreme Court judge issues an order? I thought the USSC hears cases in unison that have been reviewed all the way up?

Her lawyer filed an application for stay from a lower court ruling. One Justice hears such relief cases—it wasn’t a determination on the merits

Anecdotally, one of my friends is a professional, career types in her mid 30s and has discussed using a surrogate so she can keep working.
I’d believe the story. Now as to how common the surrogate path is? Idk.
