Correct. But when you say this to many of the pro-mandate crowd they swear up and down that it did not happen.

I have almost no doubt that any variant specific vaccine would be extremely high in protecting against infection within the first couple months. The antibody count is through the roof. Anyway, I think if original COVID was still around that infection protection would have waned and of course variants make that wane. Thankfully, whether natural immunity or vaccine immunity, the back end severity protection remains.

You serious man? Hospitals being 90 plus percent unvaxxed across the country is “ancedotal evidence”?

A lot of people think that number is manipulated by selective testing in hospitals and reporting that selection "with COVID" vs. due to COVID.

We know that they haven't been reporting "with COVID" vs. "due to COVID". That this reporting is just starting is pretty damning.

You don't even understand what point I'm refuting.

Keep you and me safe" was the slogan, and it was wrong.

The slogan was based on the reality of mammalian immunology, which makes the connection between the weakest immune system in a population, and the strongest, in an explicit fashion. What people can't seem to understand is basic principles of immunology, and they can't seem to understand it regardless of method of explanation.

If it’s “with covid” it’s more impressive for the vaccine. That means it’s preventing severe illness for everything

they already have a dozen times.

Don't believe anything the media or politicians tell you about the virus. Unless you're fat and/or smoke, you're not likely in danger.

Look, this might or might not be true, but when I see someone from Yahoo talking.. They immediately lose credit. Yahoo sucks. About the only thing they do half arse right is the financial section, but its the most clickbait company ever.

hell yeah, I do.

You're deferring to some vague "5 doses" of previous vaccines to justify believing politicians who lied to you.

I got my two doses, I'm good.

It really isn't, unless you think that COVID is a purely respiratory virus, when it isn't.

Uh, sorry I wasn't naive enough to believe politicians initially because I understood how primary programs are developed. Obviously, that 2-dose reference was deeply meaningful to you.

Don't you love it when "Corporate overlords" become the partner of government? We now love our corporate partners.

The road to technocracy.

I reluctantly got both Moderna vaccines back in September. I felt outside pressure but I admit it was on my own accord.

Main reason was because I had a 10 month old at the time and a pregnant wife and was told that It would significantly reduce my chances of catching Covid, bringing it home and spreading it to my family if I were ‘fully’ vaxxed.

If I could go back I wouldn’t have taken it. One of my biggest concerns was that they will start rolling booster after booster after booster and I wasn’t signing on to that.

This reminds me of the sales guys at Best Buy telling you how great this tv is. Then when you say you’ll take it they say how crappy it is and expensive to fix so you better buy the extended warranty.

Well, if international studies showing that the vaccinated are MORE at risk, are true.... all of the "aw shucks!'" shite from the left wont matter.

I'm willing to conceded that we did what we thought we had to do in a pandemic, and that some risks had to be taken, but I will not concede that withholding information, fear mongering, and forcing these rapidly developed and experimental treatments on people was necessary.
