Baton Rouge has a REALLY bad track record with fat, black, women, carpetbaggers. That last one left the place in shambles.

I no longer live there and do not know Coach Sid, but doing the same thing, then expecting a different result, is lunacy.

Does anybody have a link to this woman fighting at Waffle House, looting a Nike store, or in a group of 8, running out on a check at Appleby's?

I think his heart is in the right place, but he showed why it can be dangerous electing "outsiders": they have absolutely no fricking idea what they are doing politically, which makes them too easy to influence.

Every back room power broker in the city would tell you that fricking with the library system is one of the third rails of politics in this town. Yet, damned near his first action as mayor was to try to blatantly strong arm the library system. Not only did it blow up in his face, but it's tainted everything he's attempted to accomplish since then. I genuinely believe his Thrive initiative would have passed had he not made his initial library move. Now he's foundering, trying to figure out what to do next while having no one who is willing to carry the water for his initiatives.
