Sounded like basic golf course banter to me.

The tweet after where he’s taking a pic with him.
What about his tweet in response that says he’s moved on but Burns owes his wife a public apology?

I think it was disrespectful to say on air but I doubt he took him off stage and beat the hell out of him. Probably scared the shite out of him though.

Why do I think Burns was just talking about the suit? As in, your wife told me she doesn’t like the suit.
That’s the thing. You are probably correct; however, you lose control of communication when you send it. It then gets interpreted by the receiver. It’s not a guarantee how he will take it, and Watson is not alone in thinking that’s what Burns meant. That’s my point though. When Burns brought the wife into it, he opened the door for problems. He has to be smarter.

I think you’re correct. Burns was scared though.

No, I would never do such a thing. I was say I was raised that you don’t insult another man’s wife or her virtue. Watson clearly was raised the same way and thought Burns had done so. I’m sure Watson did not get violent, but he dang sure made it clear that is not acceptable. It shouldn’t be either. That’s a line you don’t cross.

The joke wasn't even funny and was inappropriate. Watson is a religious, often logical thinking man. He takes a lot of pride in his family and God. No, he didn't go Will Smith on him and maybe his reaction was too much but it obviously bothered him. He could've just laughed it off but Burns could've shut his mouth. The joke was the same as him calling his wife a whore.

Yea because the will certainly fix things.

Any man that would get upset over that joke has clear insecurities, and probably a history of marital instability if something that innocent sets him off.

definitely don’t think Watson was joking. He has a later tweet saying he wants a public apology for his wife
quote:Are you suggesting that Watson is a thug who would use his size for aggression or the threat of aggression? I've heard he isn't.
Also, don’t joke about another man’s wife. On air. When he’s much bigger than you. Have to be smarter than that

Ben Watson is a good guy, probably took a lot for him not to beat the shite of Burns right there on the set.
quote:No, he made a dumb joke. I really doubt he had/has any animosity toward Watson.
Burns took a cheap shot at Watson

This is another reason why I hate that we have so many talking-heads shows on television. People can only talk so long before having to say something idiotic.

it was a lighthearted joke that guys make with each other all the time. Don’t be such a drama queen. That goes for your nancy arse and benjamin watson if he really took offense to that.

Dear Lord. Some of you must not have a lot of non internet friends if you’re this sensitive. Head over to Reddit to find your safe space from meanie pants jokes.

It was a joke. A crass locker room level joke… but this is a halftime show on the SEC Network, not the Joel Olsteen show.
I do think Watson was upset and I get he is very religious but man it was a joke.
Is Watson one of those types who think a man and woman can’t be friends if they are not married?

If I had an employee that had such poor control of his emotions as Watson had I would fire them.
