True, but that spot is a very well known hazard

Odds, that there is currently a murderer on the loose whose mode of transportation got compromised?

article doesn't say where in the vehicle the body was found or how the person died. Guess I got a twisted mind.

This was also my first thought, but it’s possible it was surrounded on all sides by other floating cars. Terrifying.

very respectful.. You have no idea if this could have been an elderly person or what the situation was.

Well she died in 2009 at the age of 93 so not anymore. But she probably could up until the late 90’s.

I have 0 sympathy for anyone dumb enough to drive under a flooded overpass. Love how everyone calls these people stupid until they die

I don't get why BR drivers drive their cars into the flood waters under the railroad bridges on bluebonnet and acadian every time it floods. Everyone knows it floods there and it's not just a few inches of water. It's feet.

Here's what you're dealing with:

quote:

Let's say you have a 1 acre lot:

1" of rain on that one acre lot is equal to 27,154 gallons of water.

So, 10" of rain on your 1 acre lot would be 271,540 gallons of water.

Divided over the past 5 hours, that would mean you would have averaged 54,308 gallons of water falling from the sky on to just your one acre lot.

A gallon of water weighs 8.33 lbs.

Therefore, 2,261,928.2 lbs of water has fallen on your one acre lot over the past five hours.

That much water falling that fast isn't going anywhere no matter how good your drainage is.

how did this person die? Heart attack? Stroke? COVID?

Did they have any underlying medical issues or overweight?

But that has nothing to do with adequate drainage with that volume of water.

Also it’s an extremely busy roadway with plenty of people from all over that have no idea it’s a hazard. I know it’s a hazard because I live here but what if the Baw is from Texas?
