Perkins Rowe has been a ghetto shite hole for a while.
Baton Rouge has become a patch work of good area and ghetto area all over town.
The only fix is eliminating section 8 housing in certain areas of the city. Then you put police in those areas and you let them police like NYPD use to do it. It would also help if Moore wasn’t soft on crime

The only true solution is to move out to an area that doesn’t have public transportation to a major city in it.

To be fair it’s always had a few ghetto areas but post Katrina it’s exploded to really be a good area then right next to it bad and over and over again except highland from LSU to the end of it, that’s one large area that is good.
I can remember PR being ghetto 10 years ago before we moved
The patchwork of good and bad areas really hampers any want to move back

If you can’t go to Bella Noche, I mean, where could you go?

Reduce single parent households
This is the answer no one wants to talk about. We have to roll back the welfare programs and encourage intact families. Teach children how it should be done...in order.
Get an education or learn a trade.
Get a job.
Get married.
THEN have children.
This is the best way to reduce your chances of living in poverty.

Metal detectors and police presence at the entrance to profile for the troublemakers. Also stop and frisk would be a good idea if can pull it off.

The lack of funds is a BS excuse. Total BS.

There is NOTHING malls can do.
We as a society need to come to grips with stopping to subsidize this lifestyle and build more prisons and incarcerate people that can’t follow society’s norms.
DA’s and judges need to do their duty.

have noticed at Perkins Rowe a contingent of ghetto trash lately as well.
I haven’t been to Perkins Rowe in nearly a decade and you needed to keep notice of your surroundings then

Hadn’t been to Perkins Rowe in a few years until a couple weekends ago.Took the family to see Project Hail Mary and then to eat at California Pizza Kitchen. While eating outside, I was shocked at the number of hoodlums in cars, with their booming stereos, slowly making the rounds back and forth through there. Not sure when we’ll be back.

Is it really a negative though if those that don’t buy things don’t want to go to your store and then the crowd that does will go back?

That was Obama’s war on suburbs not Katrina
The rise and spread of “subsidized” housing is unreal
