My sister (no pics) lives on Puget Sound and she's spent the month of August down here visiting our parents.

What about the blacks? Are they saying the heat has an “out of proportion” effect on them due to white supremacy?

I’m sure inside the forest in the center of the Ellick turn circle was Alpenly today.

Presently here on the Isle of Skye right now and it’s a pleasant 59°F at 9:24 am.

I’m Don Debuc with your weather.

Today will set all-time records throughout LA and East and Southeast TX.

What we're facing this year-- it's more than just summer. Using the Slavic augmentative suffix, it's better described as "summerski."

This isn't just a typical hot summer. We're talking about the hottest summer in history for this region, so far -- a veritable summerski.

So why was it so hot in 1909?

With “more accurate” gages, it was probably warmer.

That's only through Aug. 4. When this month is over, both Louisiana and Texas will have completed their hottest years in history.

Welcome to "summerski"-- a new reality in a changing world.
