The annoying ones are the ones who drive loud, high pitched rice rockets and small sports cars. I'd add ATW's to that list since I live out in the sticks.
There's a group of punks who come down from Shreveport once a month and go down the highway about a mile from the house. You can hear them coming about three miles away.

Never understood the loud exhaust thing. At least with music, I can understand wanting to turn up the volume. But, I don't understand who the loud exhaust is for.
The driver/passengers? Seems like it makes conversation tough and causes you to turn music even louder.
Other drivers, passengers or pedestrians? People you likely don't even know who you're going to be around for a few seconds?

I can only speak for me but it's enjoying the unmuffled sound of a high compression cammed V8...the actual engine...that used to do it for me. It wasn't about trying to annoy anyone else. Just hearing what I built. Got out of it 20yrs ago. Now I enjoy peace and quiet.

It’s the same thing. Why do you think they often have all four windows down when they’re blasting their music?

I run a valved exhaust on the GTR. I have no desire to piss my neighbors off and i can still open it up when it's time to make some boost.
