Yeah but as a guy, my biological imperative is to spray guts.

Kids are a responsibility.

Yeah
There are some people that are better off not having to raise kids especially with the way they would turn out.

First let me say I don't think there's anything morally wrong or unethical about choosing to not have kids. However, something just seems "off" when a healthy, young adult espouses that they definitely aren't going to have kids and have no desire to have kids.

Thank you for the support. It means nothing to me.

I am 32 years old, healthy, active, live in an area with a ton of beautiful, open-minded women who don't rush into marriage and kids in their 20's. Why in the hell would the thought of marriage and/or kids be something I would be even entertaining at this point in my life? Will my mindset stay this way? Who knows really, but the freedom and disposable income will be a lot to overcome to change my mind down the road

Sounds like the type of guy that wants to be congratulated for having a sex and making a kid. IMO it’s harder to avoid having one.

People who say they aren't having kids are basically saying everything their ancestors went through and ovecame to allow their existence were so that they could enjoy ~80 easy years watching Netflix, going to Whole Foods, and keeping up with what their friends are doing on Facebook.

You do realize you can still make a huge impact on this world and on the lives of others without being a parent?

Nah, look towards Idiocracy.

The clevons can't be the only ones procreating. We need more successful, smart people having babies or the human race is screwed.

Actually the people I know who don’t have kids love themselves more and aren’t willing to sacrifice anything for their future kids.

If people thought they weren’t going to be good parents as a reason not to have kids then explain that to all the mothers having kids out of wedlock.

the people that actually put thought to if or when they should have kids are the exact people that should be having kids

I regret not having kids when I was younger. My ex-H was too scared to have any, so we didn’t. I would have been a good mother.

Someone is mad that their life now includes going to soccer practice and being broke for the next 20-25 years. Don’t worry tho, I will make a toast to all y’all sad chumps from my local brewery tonight. Sorry your wife’s body looks like shite now. Hopefully she won’t get bored with yall’s uneventful life and kick you out of your house and demand all your money for child support and alimony. Best of luck to ya pal

Sadly, for many people, it is their path to a meaningful life and wouldn't find meaning and fulfillment any other way. Feels similar to religion for those poor souls

This.

I think a lot of people who choose not to have kids would be great parents, but for whatever reasons, choose not to have children.

We have too many people having kids just for the sake of having kids and not interested in actually raising them properly.

I'm sorry. Would you prefer me to be knocked up out of wedlock and letting you pay for my kids?
Do you live in a sate that allows for alternative lifestyle marriages? I pay for everyone else's, so why not yours.

Real talk: I wouldn't mind having kids at some point but I also want my kids to grow up in a financially stable, two parent home.

cool. I get that.

I really don't get why it upsets people when others do not want children.

Maybe they genes they don't want to pass on, maybe they'd rather travel, maybe they'd rather have a crazy successful career, maybe they can't afford them. Or maybe they just don't like children.

Whatever the reason, it shouldn't matter to others. They aren't harming anyone.

Your ancestors who broke their back doing hard labor their entire lives just so they could eat, who had to deal with diseases and shite without the help of modern medicine, would be so proud that their great grand baby feels super duper happy and is unburdened by *gasp* having a child and raising it.

So by that logic, people don’t like your kids. I guess that’s fair.

All of our lives are very weak compared to what our ancestors went through

I am not going to feel bad for being born at a good time.

200 years from now, people may be saying how awful the later half of the 20th century was when AIDS, Cancer and other diseases weren't curable. It's all relative.

The least we could do is continue passing the torch while we enjoy the easiest way of living that our ancestors helped create.

Our ancestors don't give a flying flip what we do. They are dead.

People didn't do what they did for us. They did what they did for a better life for themselves.

Anyone that's done anything for me in my life, did it so I could have options and choices. So I am choosing to enjoy my life single with zero children.
