Are you under the impression that it is loyalty that gets one a better position at their company?

If one of my employees is actively looking for a new job while working for me, he better be a fricking rock star.

I cringe anytime a recruiter contacts me unsolicited on my work email.

OTOH, if your employer is watching, they’ll see you’re a coveted candidate.

???

I'd bet most employees are actively looking for a new job while working their current one.

Possibly at the lower levels, but I cant see any scenario where doing this at the mid-upper levels would be anything but a career killer.

Or they haven’t logged in since getting their current job and don’t realize the filter is there

At least make this believable. We’ve seen your post history. You may actually be retarded

You and the plant baws are saying LinkedIn isn't worth it.

That pretty much proves my point. The rest of us that know the difference between a resume and a CV know better. And we don't look at our pay "per hour".

I’ve determined that LinkedIn is pretty much a scam. It exists to try to sell you LinkedIn Premium which doesn’t work any better than regular LinkedIn.

I've seen this and find it very bizarre. If I had someone who reported to me do that, we'd be having a conversation that would probably result in their looking for new employment in ernest.

The fact that some consider this acceptable is a sign of just how little loyalty the employee (or the employees management) have for the company that signs their checks. Of course, it's not like most companies these days give employees a reason to be loyal.

This is what I'm talking about.

Lot of OP downvotes but no real rebuttal to the question.

Having Open for Work publically displayed makes me question how long that employee plans to stay with the company. No C-suite employee would have this displayed on their LinkedIn. That tells you something.

I know a guy who's been unemployed for about five years and still has that tag on his profile. It's pretty sad. He was able to skate without a degree for a long time as a purchasing manager but it finally caught up with him.

Completely untrue. But if you are, it shouldn’t be in a public manner.

Ever notice the same BD female from W Texas that has a new gig about every 1-1.5 years posting a pic of herself all make up’d up with a hard hat saying how excited she is about her new opportunity and the following replies from all the guys in the patch saying good luck, they are so happy to have you??! Fatigued!

Lots of dumbasses have lost current role over being too lazy to use a personal email account to shoot out resumes.

2 things. If they use a company email to send resumes, they deserve to be fired. If they are too dumb to know that, then they should again be fired.
