Damn, you really told her. She was probably just trying to reassure the patient, but your insecurity for your title is more important!

Also, I’m shocked something like this would happen in Scottsdale. Clearly it’s a shitty place to live. No city worth it’s salt would allow such a travesty to occur.

really is appalling how much litter there is on the side of the roads in Louisiana. It's like many of their residents have just accepted they live in filth so why bother.

No offense, but on my drives on the outskirts of Phoenix and Glendale AZ two years ago I found a significant amount of litter. Glass houses, right?

However, I do agree with you that La. is unique in its widespread acceptance of littering and toleration of filth in general.

I like how it’s “her” CNA.....like she’s cutting her a check twice a month.

LA is more accepting of general unkemptness, assuming that actually is a word.

Poor roads, trash and debris buildup in drainage, horribly kept grass between the interstate, etc.

I just spent a week in San Diego and I was surprised to see much trash all along the sides of the roadways. I wasn't expecting to see that.

Louisiana used to have a litter Hotline number- you called it with lisc plate number - date and estimated time of litter. The state would send them a do not litter letter

customer service would be horrendous and that letter would never go to the correct address.

And I'd quickly throw that letter out of my car window. I'd show them who's boss.

Because I worked very hard for my RN. To call a nurse a CNA is highly insulting.

A CNA is NOT anything remotely like a nurse. All they can do is take vitals and turn patients and empty bedpans. They are nursing assistants....meaning their role is to assist the nurses with simple tasks so the nurses can have time to do the more critical thinking tasks that they were specifically educated for (assessing the patient, etc).

You mean the CNA's handle most of the actual work while the nurses play grab arse and gossip at the nurse's station?

I just recently spent several months in two different hospitals. I gained a ton of respect for CNA's while my opinion of nurses took a nose dive. Some of you guys really need to get the frick over yourselves and half of you don't have any business in the medical field in the first place.

Only topped by the Inbreds who smoke while walking from their car to a storefront, take the last frantic puffs and proceed to throw the butt on the ground before they enter the building.

Reason why I said my CNA is that in some cases the CNA that shift would be assigned to a specific nurse.

Only reason it was a huge problem for this specific CNA to call herself a nurse is that it was really confusing the parents of my patients. She was also giving them medical advice/instructions that were blatantly wrong. (Ex telling one of my kids they could eat regular food when in fact they could not....stuff like that). I would go in and the parents would say “well the other nurse said it was ok”. She only wanted to help....I got that....but she was stepping way above her role and her medical knowledge and potentially harming the patients in the process.

I was always grateful to have a CNA to help and was never above stepping alongside them to help do the “gross” stuff. Whatever we had to do to care for our patients that night. But at the end of the day, a CNA is still not a nurse.

not throwing shite out of his window. I was riding my bike north of Lafayette and a land whale pulled off the shoulder and started throwing bags of trash out of her car in to a ditch. I told her if she walked to the trash can more often she wouldn't have 6 chins. I then took a picture with her tags and sent it on to the popo

It’s widespread. People who take themselves too seriously. Just don’t pay a lick of attention to their petty nonsense

I definitely think I've seen more roadside trash driving through Louisiana than any other state.

Arkansas is bad too

It's a nursing thing. So many are great at what they do and they are vital to the healthcare industry, but holy shite nobody in this world has a higher opinion of themselves.

this. Or, you get a nurse who works 3 12 hour shifts a week and wants you to feel sorry for him/her (usually a her). Nah, I'm not gonna feel sorry for them. They didn't accidentally become a nurse because times got tough or some shite like that.
