Meh. I've adopted a philosophy where I believe that a yard isn't really supposed to look great in the winter. It is a muddy, dead-looking mess. Raking leaves won't change that.

However, by the time April rolls around, I start taking care of it again.

You must do manual labor for work.

I love cutting the grass and knowing for a couple hours, nobody can reach me. It’s an escape.

There are only 3 of us on my street that cut their own yard. We always meet up on the sidewalk when we’re done for a cold beer.

I love yard work and I love mowing the grass with a plush mower.

I wouldn't say that I find yard work exciting, but I really don't mind spending a few hours cutting/weedeating/edging to maintain a nice looking yard.

I can see it if you are a desk pilot with a stressful job. The mindless physical labor could be a great distraction.

I prefer to pay people and watch them do the mindless physical labor while I sit in the AC sipping on whiskey and playing video games.

I don't bust my arse 60 hours a week to come home and bust it for 6 more turning tall grass into short grass. I bust my arse 60 hours a week to have the luxury to pay people to do that for me. It's called "enjoying the fruits of one's labor".

Im one of those people. When I was a kid I did yard work, and did a lot of manual labor while working myself through college. I now have a suit and tie job but sometimes miss the simpler times. I like to get outside and work up a sweat doing manual labor.

Some of us non millennials like to work.

I like mowing and weed eating. I don't think I'd mind mulching if I had a larger bin for the clippings. I have to dump the bins that hold the clippings too often with the setup I have now. If I let it go too long, the chute gets stopped up, and I have to clean it out by hand. My front yard is oak, and pine trees. The back is all pine. The leaves up front are way easier to get up than the pine straw.
