Used to hate it as a kid. Not the cutting but the raking. We had huge pine trees and several oaks. Used to tell my mom, my dad died young, that to wait until the leaves all fell off and I would rake the yard. Well, pine needles shed, she busted my theory. Love it now although my yard is 1/3 size of what I grew up with. And I've cut down about 10 trees since moving in. The weeds in the grass are driving me nuts.

I only enjoy riding my mower over my lawn whilst sipping a beverage. The rest is real work.

Yard work is relaxing and therapy for me. It is my time away from my wife bitching and moaning and hearing my kids scream wanting something. I can cut the grass, weed eat, have my time to think, drink a nice cold beer and then be proud of the results as my yard is nice looking and maintained. Trust me when you get older and get married and have kids you will understand.

Aren’t you like 25 years old? Your arse definitely can’t afford to have somebody do your yard. Hell, I bet you live in an apartment.
