People That Don’t Control Their Kids In A Restaurant

Sitting within ear shot right now of a family.
Dad is sitting down and staring into his plate as he eats, zoned off from the chaos surrounding him. Mom is standing, frantically shouting orders and threats in every direction. Grandparents sit and eat, sleepy looking and blank faced. Four kids eat, smear and throw food, run around, get in and out of chairs, scream, yell, cry, knock over and move chairs, run up to and stare at other diners. Occasionally mom goes and drags a kid back to the table. One particular wretched child slaps Mom’s hand away when she tries to grab him or sit him down. The yelling and screaming is non stop.
Dear God please don’t ever let me be in such a state.

It’s 6 pm where I am.
Weird kid standing at the end of our table chewing widely on food watching us. My fiancé sweetly said hello. No response. Just continuous chewing and staring. His family don’t seem to even notice him. I leaned over toward his face and said “go away.” He backed up and wandered off. Now the fiancé seems to be simultaneously amused and mad at me.

I had maybe the worst ever a few weeks ago. Eating lunch at a pizza place, and this woman and her friend brought her 2 and 3 year old, and they ran through the restaurant screaming playing hide and seek and screaming. The restaurant didn’t do shite about it either.
When I’m in charge, the FBI will come bursting into the restaurant and sterilize the mother right on the table compliments of the taxpayers.
