Is there a more selfish act? Neighbor has been texting all morning if I could pick them up from the airport ‘sometime’ today as they’ll be flying stand by on their connection. Not sure what time.

Yea, bro. I don’t have anything better to do than revolve my whole Saturday around picking you up from the airport.

I told him I’ll be busy with the LSU game and sent him a link to the Uber app. Is this a dick move?

Also, last week a co-worker asked me to bring him to the airport. Granted, it’s on the opposite side of town from where I live and during rush hour. I told him to Uber and he looked at me like I was the rudest person ever for not ruining my entire afternoon for his convenience.

It depends on the situation I guess.

Honestly depends on who is asking. I've driven my in-laws to the airport a few times but they also do a lot of nice things for our family all the time.

Requesting a ride during the LSU game? Yeah dick move

Most other times? I'd like to think if I've done shite for them or they've done anything for me then it's not an unfair request.

For standby flights, they should uber or ask you once they know they've made it on the flight

Pick them up.

We just finished Christmas, weren’t you paying attention?

Give >>>> Receive

Then bang his SO (assuming she’s a she) and consider the debt paid

Should just be family. Can save a shitload of parking money. And make sure you return the favor.

It's your delivery - sending someone the uber and all and telling them to use uber elevate you to being a dick.

Just say you cant for whatever reason and then move on

Ive never asked someone who was not my parent or wife to do this. Pretty sure I never will.

If they aren’t available, I Uber or drive myself and park. I hate asking people for favors all the time because my parents did that shite on the reg. Then they would look around and wonder why they had no more friends.

I only ask my close friends or family to drop me off and I only ask those who lives like within a 20 minute drive out so to the airport. I never ask casual acquaintances to do this for me.

I don't mind it. Eventually, me or someone in my family is going to need a favor that's a pain in the arse. If I'm always willing to help other people, I don't feel guilty for asking.

Sometime today? Hell no, my free time doesn’t revolve around someone else’s schedule. Now, if it was a pre determined time and planned ahead, no problem. I’d rather watch grass grow before I’m sitting around waiting for a call to pick someone up. Uber that shite.

I sent them a link to the Uber app, because that would’ve been my first option (and what I used for my recent travel) as opposed to even thinking about asking people to drop what they are doing and cater to me and my needs for free.

if you getting the sex, or its a family member, or they paying you more then a taxi or uber costs

otherwise GTFOH just like with "hey you have a truck" which they say just before asking you to give up your day for hauling their shite around

Are you sure you're not a taxi driver? Is your car yellow?

With Uber I don’t understand that ask - unless it’s family and in a different town. Say Baton Rouge to New Orleans. But again only family should ask something like that.

I don’t understand the convention that everyone tries to bum a ride to the airport or from the airport. It’s the only thing where people consistently try to beg for help instead of just helping themselves. Your options to get to the airport are many, you can take a cab or an Uber, you can drive yourself and leave your car at the airport, you can rent a car at your destination, you can use shuttle services in many cities, or you can ask a friend for a ride. Everyone seems to default to begging for rides. Uber is so cheap it makes no sense

This! I pay into the First National Bank of Karma so I can make the occasional withdrawal.
