If I can avoid a gas station charge my car at home why wouldn't someone want that?
Sure I guess? What will you do with all those extra minutes per year that you save?

I don't care what people buy but they don't need to care what I buy either. I also don't want government restricting my options based on a lie.

Lose them all when you need to charge it away from home that one time and you have to track it down and then wait there as it charges

Or maybe …. they are fun to drive and we can do what we want with our money.
My Tesla would smoke any of your vehicles
I didn’t but it for the environment. I bought it because it’s what I wanted

Good for you. You aren’t the problem, but you’re driving a problem maker’s favorite car.

Getting people to buy themselves a nice new car for an altruistic purpose is a way to make money, not save the world.

I will race you from houston to dallas
my car: SRT8 500+HP
in theory you should make it on a charge
but, damn'd sure not at 80-100 mph sustained...lol
most people I know that have purchased EV's are teachers or admins in colleges.
they can charge for free (not really, tax money) while at work.
The get texted during the day to move their cars around, grab a fresh coffee while doing that, and probably do 2 less hours a day then all those who drive to work in their ICE's and STAY IN the office
If charging was not free or you had to clock out to go jockey cars around, less people would do it

I don't mind one day getting an EV. However, the infrastructure will have to improve greatly. Until all the current gas stations get outfitted with them, it doesn't make sense for me to get one. It's not a huge deal if you never travel, but it would seem to make road trips more of a hassle for refueling.

you and 90% of other people who buy EVs.

It’s amazing that people don’t realize that once this happens, you’re going to have to pay to charge just like gas

You already have to pay at Tesla Superchargers. The only free ones are private businesses offering it as an incentive.

People don't think. They do what Madison Avenue tells them. Why do so many couch potatoes wear Nike? No matter what you do, you are neither Michael Jordan nor saving the earth. You are following the leader.

quote:It adds up to 4 to 8 hours per year for most people at 5-10 minutes per stop once per week.
What will you do with all those extra minutes per year that you save?
Maybe that gets lost in the shuffle, but at least you're recognizing that charging an EV saves time vs filling up with gas.
