People parking next to you despite intentionally parking far as possible from destination

Death by firing squad?
Just got a new vehicle, parked as far as I possibly could from my place of employment. Walk outside after work to a ford focus parked so close to my vehicle that I had to climb through the passenger side to get in.
A fellow baw was walking to his truck and saw my situation. Yelled out and pointed at the car next to me “What an a-hole”
Contemplating keying said car, but it was already a piece of shite. May have increased the value

It’s like men using a urinal. If there’s an open spot away from someone else you always use that one.

Birds of a feather flock together. It shows others that you value your car which means youre less likely to door ding mine.

Happens all the time unfortunately. I like to park away from everyone, too, and easily half the time some a-hole has made the conscious choice to park his car next to mine despite many open spots much closer to the store/destination.

This is easily one of my main triggers. I could park in the last spot in an empty parking lot, someone is going to park next to me

Maybe he parked it far away hoping it gets stolen? Or he has a crush on you?

I had a new Tundra with 17k miles on it. Parked it way across the parkin lot for a doctor's appointment.
Came out of the appointment and walked past a similar truck with massive front end damage. A male approached me and said he was sorry, but his wife got the brake and gas pedals mixed up. She has jumped over one of those concrete stops and came down on my front end.
I was too blown away to get mad.

Equally insane is the rare time I go to a movie and, despite many open seats, some fricker comes and sits right beside me. Last time, the whole row was open except our seats, and a gal settled in next to me. WTF?

My gym still has prison showers and it always shocks me when a grown arse man will take the shower head in an otherwise completely empty shower directly behind me. Like, bro, use the other side.

This happened yesterday:
A nearly totally empty parking lot. I parked in the spot up front next to a handicap spot. Guy (or gal) pulls in while I’m strapping a child in on the drivers side and parks not in a parking spot, but just off my bumper in a driving lane. Woman gets out of the passenger side and goes in. I back out so we nearly touch mirrors, and he (or she) puts his (or her) truck in drive and accelerates quickly into the handicap spot next to where I was. No handicap tag or hanger that I could see, of course. As I was pulling away, the woman came back out, got in, and the truck backed out and began to leave.
I’m still mystified as to what they were doing.

I try not to let little things get to me, but this really pisses me off. I always park far away from anyone else, like 5 to 10 spots away from every other car, at the least. But half the time, some a-hole comes and parks right next to me.

I’m gonna go ahead and just say that was done to mess with you.
That’s just too much of a coincidence
Someone chuckled as they did it because they know if someone sings their Taurus it’s not a big deal

Morons are like a fly to shite to new cars in a parking lot.

I do this a lot. Your car isn't special. I will park especially close to the line too.
Imagine buying a car and being scared to drive it in public.

Same. I’ve got an older truck so the door dings stand out quite a bit. I go out if my way to not park close to anybody and try to take spaces where nobody really can park close to me. I’ve never keyed anybody’s car for doing it but I have hit a Subarus windshield with a slice of pizza for it.

Happens to me too at my work. Huge parking lot. I park by myself in the boonies. Half the time some jackwagon ends up right next to me.
I don’t think it’s done to intentionally frick with someone. It’s just low IQ that sees a car and says” ok I guess this is where the people are parking”.

This has to be at least partially correct. I’m no longer amazed to park in no man’s land of big box store and come back to my car and see that somebody parked right beside me in the sea of open spaces. It’s too common of a phenomenon to be solely chalked up to a holes.

There may be people who are incapable of parking between the lines unless there's another vehicle to line up next to.
