fake news sites

Is there some authorized list of these somewhere ? How does one go about determining which ones are fake ?

Wasn’t this study criticized for a fairly inaccurate/biased method for separating real from fake news?

I don’t think it is true that “the gender pay gap is a myth” is an example of fake news. It might be statistically true that women make less than men, but it is not “fake news” to think gender has nothing to do with it.

Yet this study cites a Ben Shapiro video arguing against gender pay gap as “fake news” example

Duh. Old people not as accustomed to the proliferation of the internet generally and the faketry and the bullshite/reddit/4chan/buzzfeed/etc. of the internet will more likely believe, and share, shite that just isn't true.

For all the "fake news!" cries from my Dixiecrat grandparents, they live in absolute exclusivity within their own CNN and MSNBC echo chamber. If they were the facebook or twitter types, they'd be sharing all the factually dubious angled statistics of buzzfeed and david hogg.

If CNN had any viewers left I’m sure they would share more propaganda too

Users who identified as conservative were more likely than users who identified as liberal to share fake news: 18 percent of Republicans shared links to fake news sites, compared to less than 4 percent of Democrats. The researchers attributed this finding largely to studies showing that in 2016, fake news overwhelmingly served to promote Trump’s candidacy

told you.

And TD allowed it.
Allow?
If the 5 libs reply and provide info to counter the fake news, did the honorable republicans all hoot and holler and RA?
NOPE. THEY REPOSTED THE SAME FALSE PROPAGANDA.

There is teamwork involved.
You Need posters to police the board and admins.willing to keep a spreadsheet or database.

Younger people tend to be more liberal than older people. This isn't really a surprise if you use common sense.

I am not reading all of that, but responding to the title, it doesn't surprise me. It's like when older people started getting emails. All of a sudden you would have an inbox filled with forwards with a picture of car wrecks and a ghost being seen in the picture that wasn't seen by the naked eye.. Or about how people were protesting gas prices by not going buy gas on a specific day.

age does not account for all conservatism so we lack interior stats.
We need specifics on the young conservatives vis a vis the young libs. I assert here that some conservatives intentionally passed lies, false propaganda, knowingly. Some. Not all.
18 is bigger than 4, for sure.
