Heck, we have 3 home office set-ups up and running in my house. Aint nobody on vacation.
Honestly, it is more leisurely, but with the time saved from commuting, etc., we've got the house and yard sparkling.

Because they make better grade concrete, insulation, and framing grade 2x4’s at niche building supply stores?

Wish that was the case with me

If by “niche” you mean a lumber yard? Even a national brand...yes. They’re going to have better quality construction supplies at better prices.

I've been saying for awhile that this is going to turn out like 9/11. A fluke tragedy that the government will not let go to waste. By the time this is done, the Gov is going to do something along the lines of installing CCTV everywhere. And there will be thunderous applause from the general public.

Just stay your arse home if you want to be quarantined. Pretty simple isn’t it.

Social media and the MSM have spent years cultivating an army of dangerous hyperbolic mindless followers. They built a ruthless efficient blind sheep machine that neither thinks nor acts with any logic or reason. They just test revved that engine hard and it is functioning at absolute perfect efficiency.
What’s really terrifying is the media may ask ANTIFA to help ensure social distancing by attacking people out in public or some dumbass might start the kick a person challenge to attack people in groups and then we have social anarchy.
That should be a crazy idea but what’s crazy is how realistic and easy it would be to incite mass chaos right now piggy backing off the panic from the virus and the horrific massive spread of misinformation.
The longer everyone stays at home the more restless and angry we become and the closer to chaos we get.

Or, perhaps, people who have been on “lockdown” for 2 weeks are deciding that living a life devoid of any enjoyment whatsoever isn’t worth the “benefit” of avoiding the roughly 1% risk they could die from the virus?
Theoretically we could all hole up in our homes and avoid countless risks we face on a daily basis. But is that a life worth living?

They’re just going to do their thing and when they inevitably see a surge like New Orleans they’ll just blame Louisiana like they do for their crime. The politicians in these places know they missed the window on stopping it, like New Orleans did, so they’ve resorted to laying the groundwork for setting the narrative that they got from somewhere else.

[ You know what... you’re going to die. Might not be tomorrow, might not be for 40 years but rest assured, it’s going to happen. No need to really worry about it. Just enjoy your life. The things that must happen will, everything’ else you can deal with.
I don’t want to die right now, and I don’t let the fear of it stop me from enjoying life. I worry more about the people I leave behind and how it may affect them. Do you have a family or young children who depend on you? Think about how that may affect them and the pain it would cause. Yes, I have life insurance, but I would like to stick and see my kids grow up. I feel it’s my duty to be there for them and my wife right now. If I die in a car accident that’s a different story. I’m not gonna do anything that will unnecessarily put myself or others in harms way right now. At some point this will end.

It’s all about reducing probability of transmission, stopping it is futile.
If each infected person, on average, will give it to 3 others with no actions, the goal is to drop that to 1 or lower to “flatten the curve”. Over a large population this just means cut social interaction by ~67%, not necessarily eliminate it.
The big hitters are stopping schools, stopping festivals, large church gatherings, etc...(eliminate the chance of 1 person infecting 10+ people and being a super spreader).
Honestly, if we can do that, and if people WITH symptoms would just STAY HOME, that’s probably all we would need to cut transmission by the 2/3rd needed to hold an R0 of ~1 and maintain the spread.
Long story short, people in well ventilated parks is probably not the issue here, provided one of them isn’t hacking a lung.
