Some people fail at life and can't find anyway to impress anyone. Life no longer matters and serves no point for them. So they resort to extreme shock value to gain their 5 minutes of fame. You can only hope he kills himself before he kills someone else.

Or people grow up doing this exactly because they're never instilled with the values of doing good, humble, and effective work for the benefit of society. They'd rather do stupid and useless shite for attention.
