Could make a lot of meth on an acre. Profit would easily pay the note on the land

You would think the drugs and child molesting would have a negative effect on property value.

Land prices have gotten ridiculous. I remember my old man buying 50 acres from a neighbor back in the 80's. He was upset that he couldn't get them below $1K an acre. Ended up paying $1,250/acre then paying $2,500/acre for a few more adjacent acres several years later. No telling what it's all worth now.

all depends on the school district. Live Oak is the highest right now for good reason.

Some people from BR inherited 40 acres up in this area. They put it on the market expecting 4 or 5 million. Their best offer was quite a bit less than 200k.

My dad has 40'ish acres in Central/Pride area (Central schools). He's been thinking of unloading it because he doesn't really need or use it. He definitely isn't getting in the millions for it

There is a new neighborhood being built on side of my neighborhood. Each lot, which is almost 1 acre is going for $75k.

Realtors have greatly contributed to these inflated prices

A flat acre where I live is 350k-500k and on the market less than 24 hours. And we’re a suburb of a major city.
