Important to note that he was cooperating right then in that slice of video but not beforehand. Still doesn’t justify kicking him like that and that cop deserves what’s coming to him.
We just ousted a longtime mayor Jamie Mayo and have a new one Friday Ellis who I’m really excited about. I’m wondering how he handles this. So far though the protests were peaceful and no rioting, I’m really hoping they stay that way.

bullshite that's all you saw. I saw the second officer run up and kick the guy on the ground in the head and then he started sobbing like a pu$$y. I'm a back the Blue kind of guy but that was an assault. And the main officer was sure to turn his body and body cam away from what was going on. Did the perp deserve it? Probably, but it still doesn't make it right.
Oh and damn that officer was way out of breath from a very short run (just sayin').

While the cop was wrong, the perp had control of the situation UNTIL he didn’t comply,,,,not saying the cop was right, but the perp gave up control when he didn’t comply.....

frick that cop, frick all of those cops. The assaulting officer should rot under the jail. All should have at minimum malfeasance in office charges and the guy he kicked should be able to sue the pants off of the cops, department and city. It is the only way we will see change in behavior.

Know what would have prevented that from happening?... Not running from the cops! What if a K-9 chased him down? He sure the hell would have gotten more than a kick and nobody would say a damn thing about it. I'm not saying it was right but the perp escalated the situation, didn't he?
When I have come into contact with cops in the past, I never ran or put up a fight. Do you know why? It's because it leads to the outcome you mentioned.
If you want to run or fight with the cops, don't cry like this guy when they catch up to you, just take it like a man
