Would it have had the distance?

I think he resigned, but I guess that is semantics. Getting fired was probably the outcome anyway once the bodycam video came out.

I mean it does look like he tried to pretend like he ran past him and "kicked him" in the face... kinda not cool

I hope you are smart enough to see how that is not a similar scenario at all. No (sane) person would have a problem tackling him as he was running or a K9 taking him down as he is fleeing

I hope you are smart enough to realize that it takes a bit of a certain mentality to catch and confront thugs. Many cops have an edge to them. You have to it in order to survive that job. You think a limp wristed force of pansies are going to take on the criminal element in the world? Come on man. If the perp did not try to RUN and COMPLIED there wouldn't have been an escalation most likely.

Also, I hope you do realize these same criminals you are taking up for will kill a cop in the blink of an eye if given the upper hand. So if a cop kicks a thug, it's far less than what is inflicted time and time again on the cops by the dindunuffin criminals.

Are they too dumb not to kick a guy in the head when he's laying face down on the ground. I get "having an edge" in life or death situations, but not when a guy is laying face down on the ground. The excuses some of you come up with are bullshite.

The perp was dumb to run. We all know how that plays out. The cops are going to only use more force after you run. Not making an excuse for the cop.

I'm sure if you dealt with these low lifes on a day to day basis you might even do worse than kick one after a chase

Again, not making an excuse or condoning it but it's a fact of life. These cops are tired of dealing with the bullshite I'm sure

It's not like we got an innocent dude here sitting on a park bench and some cop comes up randomly to kick him in the face

Frick that cop
Dude acted like a retard and got his arse whipped. Things like this wouldn't happen if that low IQ victim mentality wasn't so common.

Well dumbass cop made a decision and was arrested and resigned. He obviously wasn't fit to do the job he had sworn to do and made himself a criminal in the process. There are always going to be dumbasses that will run from cops. That's nothing new. It doesn't excuse dumbass cop from punting his head. Now dumbass criminal is probably going to get some taxpayer money because the idiot cop can't do his job correctly.

Not taking up for any criminal first off, but secondly if we can paint with broad strokes here and over-generalizations, as you are doing, then it is fair to say that all cops are murdering, power-hungry, racists based on the actions of a few of them.

Not sure if you are aware of this little thing called the Constitution, more specifically this piece of it called the Bill of Rights. It's the little thing that makes America the best country this world, in no small part because it is meant to ensure that government officials cannot abuse citizens. You know what is an abuse of a citizen? Kicking them when they are laying face down and handcuffed.
