Why is using cash trashy?

The OP is full of it and needs to learn patience, but IMO using cash for small purchases isn't an efficient use of resources. Use a CC with rewards/points.

Nothing wrong with paying cash.

But scrounging through the bottom of your purse looking for loose coins or stray bills because you don't have enough cash on hand is bad form.

Last I checked, cash and coins are legal tender in this country. I'm going to switch to the envelope system just to piss people like you off.

I know it sounds crazy but it helps me budget and keep my wife within the budget as well. If there's no cash left, we dont have the money for it. Clean and simple.
Smart IMO.

When I was young in Tulsa and just starting out after college my buddy had a smokin hot wife who acted on feelings. They ended up divorced partially over her "sympathetic" impulse buying. She'd bounce several checks per month on cheap Chyna crap at Wally World that neither of them had any use for. Usually after they had an argument or other marital stress (he wanted kids, she was scared of procreation as she carried Fragile X genes, her brother suffered from) Talking bounce a check for $5 here, $3 there. Stupid since the bank fees were like $20 a pop then and they had credit cards she coulda waited to pay off EOM (or even make pmts on cheaper than bounced check fees).

Paying with cash is fine, but why not have you cash in fricking order. I always keep my wallet organized biggest to smallest bills and know how much is in there....when I do pay with cash it takes about 15 second to pull out what I need. Paying with an unorganized wad of cash that holds up the line for awhile is inconsiderate.

Maybe she didn't have enough in her account. Not really that big of a deal at all.

Problem ain't using cash, or cards, or checks or coupons.

Like your post explicitly states: the problem is the lady was slow as shite in how she proceeded, and that caused the unnecessary delay for everyone else. Multiple cards or a check could've created the same delay.

Your problem cause and effect do not align. Please reread your OP.

I don't think a high-speed, low drag society is feasible anytime soon; but I would be favor of every American respecting every American's value time, and don't make a career out of making groceries when other mother frickers have shite to do.

I always carry cash. It pisses me off when we are at the camp and want to play cards. All my young nephews only have their cards with them and have to borrow from us older fellas because they don't carry cash.

I will never not pay cash at physical venues. Every paycheck I take out a specific amount of cash which I’m not going to say because it’s nobodies business, and that is my walking around money, leaving the rest of my salary in the bank to chill. Of course when I buy things online and whatever I obviously use my debit card, but if I’m out and about like Randy Moss said, I’m straight cash homey

I only pay cash at restaurants, exception drive thru when Apple pay is available ( if not pay cash). Credit card at grocery store. Debit cards are trashy at convenience store waiting for people getting smokes and energy drinks to put their pin in and wait for response, be a man and have a few bucks on your person.

Haven’t you learned anything from big tech? It won’t be long before your health and life insurance rates rise because you purchased beer or meat at your Publix using your credit/debit card. Cash is king.

I just cannot imagine a scenario where that 30 second delay is going to have an appreciable impact on my life. If that 30 seconds is that critical, I'm probably not in the grocery store to begin with.
