I was in Afghanistan in 2005 when they honored the USO with Pat Tillman's name at Bagram's Air Base, say goodbye to that. Hopefully they relocate any memorabilia such as his statue and pictures to a different USO to keep his memory alive.

I doubt anyone in this administration knows who Pat Tillman is.

Donald Rumsfeld has a lot of explaining to do for Pat Tillman right now somewhere in the sweet by and by.

Pat Tillman is a hero and Rumsfeld is scum.

They were both profoundly misguided men, but I rate Tillman higher than Rumsfeld.

That's one of the many reasons I've never embraced the neocon worship of this person.

Are we the "good guys," charging forward to protect a godless matriarchy against devout people who happen to have a more disciplined attitude toward the Old Testament? Forcing vacationers to remove their shoes and be fondled, at the barrel of an M4 carbine?

I'm not convinced. This country needs something. Maybe it's Islam. It's not atheism and it's not what West Point or the Arizona Cardinals are peddling.

Pat and his family were also extremely anti war probably wouldn't be very well liked over on PT. Also find it werid for the military to honor a guy they killed. I mean sure massive respect to the man for giving up an NFL career for the military but he gets honored by the military when he died of friendly fire

You don't need to be religious to understand right versus wrong. Let alone preserve the American culture that the left is trying to destroy.

Obviously after he signed up, can't remember the exact video but it told about how he quickly found the war to be bullshite and how much his brothers hated that Pat was lied to. Pretty sure they're Dems as well but not 100% on that

I agree. I don't know where the universe came from or if God exists, but it doesn't matter. I have a visceral reaction to evil, and anyone who doesn't is an evil dumbass.

That said, I won't ever be able to reconcile myself with what was done after 9/11/01. I said at the time that the biggest risk we faced was overreacting to that attack. Nobody wanted to hear it, but it was true, and Pat Tillman was the poster child for it.

Don't forget that we had a real country on 9/10/01. We were "the last superpower." We didn't have to do what we did. Pat Tillman was part of a massive bad decision. I'll never venerate him.

they do love their personality cults.
but since the pentagon did all that heroing about him the least they could do is decommission the USO there and move it elsewhere
