gun? building? carbon monoxide? razor? other?

rest in peace... despair is a bitch.

ETA... I work in a business that has a fair amount of suicides... in that, our product mitigates the issue a bit. The despair in these people is hard to fathom.

That’s very unfortunate. It’s a shame she couldn’t get the help she needed. I feel sorry for her parents.

That is sad. I couldn't imagine going through something like that, especially when I was at that age.

You really don't know how people deal with events they have been through.

Even so maybe being witness to a mass shooting and losing your best friend serves as catalyst to the “other issues.”
RIP young lady.

You are a grade A jackass. You have no idea what that young lady was dealing with as a result of the experience she went through in the school shooting.

I saw a documentary on the NYFD after 9/11 and they had a few on there that was dealing with survivors guilt after going to all the fireman’s funerals almost everyday in the months after the trade centers collapse.

How freakin' traumatic does an event have to before you don't play the "other issues" card?

To try to put a more appropriate spin on the ‘other issues’ standpoint.

I couldn’t fathom ‘survivor’s guilt’ and I hope to never experience it. With that said, kids are more medicated now than ever. They are diagnosed with mental situations, stress, anxiety, more than ever.

By no means would this be a crutch for anyone to do that to themselves. I think maybe it could be suggested that students are more easily pushed over the edge.

Unfortunately, that edge can be in the form of a school shooting, or someone killing themself. We have a school in town that has had 3 suicides this year. It’s a very bizarre situation, and nothing I experienced in high school comes close to that.
