I’m in agreement. Kids toys should not be in the hundreds

I agree LEGO prices are insane. But the ones you are talking about are not kid toys though.

Is it even easy to just go buy LEGOs anymore? Like just buy random pieces that a kid can use to build shite with his imagination?

In the past 5 years or so Lego has shifted from selling toys to kids to selling nostalgia and collectibles to adults.

Easy enough to buy Random lots outside of find some at garage sales.

Can buy by piece online.

If you don't have to have brand new Lego or specifics, you can find some deals still

This.

There is more money in convincing adults to play with children’s toys.

Yes, there are plenty of sets that are just random lego pieces. You can usually get them cheap at Costco or Sams when it gets closer to Christmas.

The key to buying lego sets is to wait for clearance.

Legos are expensive because the manufacturing process requires tons of repairs and upkeep of machines to ensure quality control. Every Lego ever made can fit any other Lego ever made. On top of that the demand is high, therefore high prices
