If you're worried about it talk to him. A father should feel 100% comfortable talking to his 16 year old son. More importantly a 16 year old boy should feel 100% comfortable talking to his dad about anything. He's gonna need that one day and should know its OK to come to you about anything, without fear of reprisal.
Once I knew my boys were sexually active I talked to them about the consequences and told them they'll be a box of rubbers on my top closet shelf. When I see it running low I'll stock up again. No questions asked. The girls today are aggressive. Start a conversation.

Dude you have to talk to him about it. Especially about the self pics. That could be a huge deal and explain to never send dick pics. . He also needs to know that when girls send him pics, don’t send them or text them to others. You have a responsibility to give your expectations for cell phone usage but just as important teach some life lessons on decency as well as legal consequences.

I had this conversation with him several years ago. I guess I just didn’t take cell phones into the thought process and all this access to pictures from anywhere you can imagine. I appreciate the reply
