I've been trying to find out where the attack occurred in the park. I have been to Devil's Den countless times, and it is very popular. On a Saturday afternoon, there would be people all over the place.
I'm trying to understand how he was able to attack the mom and dad without someone else disrupting the situation.
The guy got lucky, or they were in an isolated section of the park.
Edited for accuracy

the death penalty is too good for this guy. Slowly torturing him to death would be more appropriate.

it's been reported that the mom didn't actually leave with the girls...she told them to run and stayed behind...i guess she thought she could help her husband...

This is not how it happened. Initial reports had Mom takings kids away and returning, but this information has been debunked for 2 days now. She told the kids to run and they did.

I think he's a pedo and wanted the girls.
Still a big jump from being a pedophile to murdering 2 parents randomly...unless they caught him in the act of harming them or trying to take them. There has to be more to the story.

Unless he's done it before and just hasn't been caught

Me to. News is reporting that they were on a 1.5 mile loop trail so that narrows it to the main Devil's Den (self guided interpretive) trail. I have All Trails Pro and its shows like 4 of the 13 trails have been closed. They're all kinda connected to the main parking area & another one is a loop so its hard to tell.
Still a very strange case.

It really looks like this is what this guy was doing, but his targets got away.

That or it’s portals and aliens which I hope is true as that’s way better than serial killers and sexual predators
With no due respect, you're a fricking loon. Stop believing everything you hear on youtube.

Probably starting his career as a serial killer. Glad they caught the bastard.
On another note, it looks like it’s been 8 years since Arkansas’ last execution. I hope they fast track this MF’er to the front. frick him

I followed some of this case on Reddit ( yea, I know). One woman supposedly reported him for touching girls in the classroom. School officials allowed him to resign without warning law enforcement. So much for mandatory reporters. Someone from that school is about to be in hot water.
Another poster on that sub said the kids made fun of him for never smiling or having any sort of expression. Sounds like a classic sociopathic freak.

This seems a bit fantastical and made up.
Have any good examples of a stranger trying to get close to a child victim and then killing the parents to leave no witnesses once the pedo-predator is stumbled upon?
It's always theoretically possible, but it would be EXCEPTIONALLY rare.
The vast majority of child predators are family and friends of family of the victims. You always have to remember that.

Didn't have a single connection to who he killed.
So being arrested is the same as being convicted?
Do we believe in ‘innocent until proven guilty’ or not?

No, this is a message board not a court room. You can say stuff like that here.

Also TD Poster: We should kill this guy who hasn’t even had a trial yet

I think you're missing the point that TD isn't a court of law.
Maybe it'll click one day. Keep trying.

How often do you convict someone in your mind when they are arrested?
People either really believe in something (our legal system) or they don’t.

It’s the most popular trail for taking kids on. Back in the day, you could go in the caves on that trail, but they’ve been closed for years due to an endangered bat or something like that.
If he had them targeted, I assume he just waited for them to start and then walked the opposite direction of the loop and waited for them somewhere.
It was hot as hell that day, but I still think there would have been people all over the trail, which is why the original story was confusing, but if mom told them to run and stayed it makes more sense.

It's also true if the Arkansas school didn't bother contacting the Texas school, then it's on the Arkansas school.
