Smart thing is to wear a helmet but if you’re cruising through the neighborhood I wouldn’t usually wear one. I used to wear a football helmet for doing tricks though

No, but we have flat trails where we live and they don’t ride on the streets. Lotsa HS kids around here that drive like maniacs....just like I did when I was in HS but at least my attention was on the road and not on my social media feeds.

Yes. Although I don’t necessarily make her. She wears it on her own.

She also wears it when she rides her scooter and I’ve never told her to do that.

She is smarter than me, I guess.

Unfortunately, I have seen way too many children with severe injuries from ground level falls.

Helmet if you are on something other than your own feet.

On topic kind of, I grew up riding both horses and bikes without a helmet. I wear one now, but after being onsite when somebody had a pretty horrific head injury while wearing a helmet (thank god) I don’t throw a leg over a horse without one.

when they were small, yes.

When they got older and more certain on their bikes, we stopped making them

I'm a fricking klutz so I always wear a helmet on my bike.

So if I would have had kids I would assume they got my klutziness and would have made them wear one all the time as well.
