Not talking about playing with GI Joe or action figures, rather baby dolls. Acceptable or not?

Okay until a certain age? Where is the line drawnif so?

Where does the OT stand on this issue?

My cousin used to play with dolls when he was a kid, he knocked a girl up when he was 15.

Therefore, letting boys play with dolls is trashy.

If my kid wants to play with dolls, I'm fine with that. But, I'm also not rushing out to buy him any.

It's fine if you want your son to catch the gay

Thankfully I never had to deal with this. My son never showed the slightest interest in dolls. And conversely my daughter never showed any interest in my son’s old toys when she came along.

We have an almost 2 year old boy with a girl due in June. When a friend was in a similar situation, they bought their son a doll so he could get used to 'babies' so when their daughter arrived he'd be somewhat familiar. Didn't think it was such a terrible idea but we haven't done it.

Who cares? Kid is playing with toys and not being a bother - play away IMO.

Depends on the age IMO
A 3 year old, no big deal
A 13 year old that plays with dolls & no other toys / sports is a different story

I don’t have kids so I honestly don’t know what I would do in that situation

I had a doll when I was younger, think Chucky before he was turned into a horror franchise. It's no different than a Teddy Bear or any other stuffed toy except it's human so it encourages human style interaction. It's how I learned to tie shoes.

Let him do what he wants. Just don’t take it as a sign you need to chop his balls off and dress him like a girl because he’s doing girl things.

He’ll grow out of it.

My 7 year old son hides his 3 year old sister's baby doll that cries like a real baby all the time. Says it more a challenge if she has to find the baby before she can make it stop crying. Kind of dick but it's still funny.

we tell little girls that playing with dolls is to develop parenting and caring skills, why wouldn't you want your son to have those same skills? I think its all in how YOU define it to him that matters. Don't make a big deal out of it and he will probably phase through it without even thinking about it, and be a well rounded kid. if you make him feel ashamed, then you're just setting the stage to frick him up later.
