Just curious, is there not a medical facility on the base?

It’s probably not a certified mass casualty center

Gotcha

Sounds like serious injuries.

Prayers there’s no fatalities and minimal injuries

Well at least it’s not all of them. Hope they are just minor injuries.

Did these boys get relocated to Alaska? Last I knew, they called Schofield Barracks (Oahu) home.
They've had an airborne brigade in Alaska for a long arse time.

Right.

We're trying to get any info we can from family at Forrest General. She's a nurse that was called in about 2.5 hours ago

Just another bit of technical info so people can understand how serious this could be. This excerpt is taken from a paper from nasa with the topic of acceleration and falls

it depends a lot on where and which way up you land - feet-first onto a soft surface is best (pretty obvious)
For a hard surface, assuming you don't land on your head, up to about 12m/s impact velocity, you are almost certain to survive (corresponding to a fall from a height of just over 7m). Though "survive" is likely to involve life-changing injuries at the top of this range
Between 12 and 17m/s you may or may not survive (corresponding to about 7m - 12m)
Over 17m/s you are almost certain not to survive (corresponding to over 12m

Yes, there is an entire combat medic training facility at Camp Shelby but they are overwhelmed.

Would they be rushing people to the hospital in ambulances for minor injuries as a simple precaution in all of this chaos?

Or is it inevitable that people showing up in ambulances are severally injured?
