I see something more racist than that every day on the OT Lounge, let alone on the poliboard.

Like look at this thread, especially Va LSU's comment that got 27 upvotes and 0 downvotes.

Yeah, it is kinda crazy to see how this place has shifted over the last 18 years or so

People used to at least be subtle or make a joke about it

Now it’s just brazen. No removals or bans or any of that. Almost like it’s endorsed.

How are you surprised by the swing in that direction considering the social and political atmosphere of the USA over that timeframe?

You could probably find posters who predicted this back in the mid-20 teens, and especially during the “summer of love”.

It is as if yall expected there to be no reaction.

A bit mind blowing, IMO.

I’m talking about brazen racism on tiger droppings becoming more and more acceptable over time

What are you talking about?

All a reflection of our society, whether you guys think it is a closed off environment or not.

I have been on here about as long as you have (2008, if you count my original name), and I agree, it was never this blatant, but it isn’t as if I wouldn’t expect this site to mirror the posting style changes of the vast majority of the internet.

Why would the shift on here shock you?

You see the same thing now on Twitter, Reddit, Facebook, IG, etc.

None of this is shocking to me.

ehhh, i caught a 6 month ban in 2023 for posting a gif of an actual bear sitting on a picnic table. It goes in waves, nothing to get upset about or make sweeping assumptions over.

My buddy sun god posted the same gif immediately afterwards and caught a 9 month ban.

Again, I’m not shocked that it exists or that people feel more emboldened now or any of that

I can’t think of a single other message board (that is moderated with rules and standards) where I could post shite like the one that started this discussion where I wouldn’t be banned, warned, or at the very least have the post deleted.

And to be clear, I’m not even advocating for that - it’s just funny that we will send people packing for hand bras and for “trolling” but you can post stuff that would make David Duke blush and it’s all good.

It did not used to be that way on this forum. and now it is.

That feels like a deliberate choice, and that choice is what is surprising to me.

I think people rightfully have fatigue and are just more willing to tell the truth these days, especially after dealing with the cancel culture era of 2020-2022. Pattern and statistics recognition and telling jokes based off of those things do not equate to racism. The people telling these jokes in these forums aren't out there committing hate crimes in real life. The same can't be said about the people they are telling the jokes about.

Have you read the post in question or are you just being deliberately obtuse here?

No, your post was “well said” because it addressed the point

His post misses it entirely because he just can’t wait to use the word “fatigue” and justify/co-sign some of the awful shite that gets posted here because he thinks it’s the truth.

Anyway, about 90% of Paraguay is mestizo. True, the politicians in Paraguay are usually from the white minority. But even the white people in Latin America will often have something like 5% Native American ancestry if you DNA test them.

Also, it seems like Paraguayans are even somewhat admixed with black ancestry. For example, this Parguayan has 1.4% sub-Saharan African ancestry.

To top it all off, even Spaniards, which are the source of the "white" DNA of Paraguayans, aren't viewed as white by all people.

Those white Latina women from Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay can be feisty as hell

Spaniards have a lot of North African admixture due to Muslims conquest from Algeria and Morocco. Same with Sicily.

He broke up with the transgender girlfriend, if they were even dating in the first place which isn't really clear. He has a normal girlfriend now who's a Spanish actress.
