Thinking about pulling the trigger on a Panerai. Either the 1312 or 1661. Any owners on here that have any thoughts on the brand?

Tired of of the Rolex waiting game and I refuse to enrich these grey market dealers. Closest boutique is Houston so I may just buy without seeing the watch in person.

1312:

1661:

TIA

1312 pic not coming through. It clearly has shite 5G service. Go with the 1661.

I like mine, stayed classy and value has held up over the years. Still prefer the Rolex for every day use as the panerai face is a little larger.

And I thought my Rolex submariner was expensive- I ended up selling the thing.

I sold my air king about a year ago, had a bb58 in the interim and ready for something else. Would love a Submariner but it’s proving to be quite elusive at MSRP

Submariner is about 14-18k on secondary market depending on if it has date or not. For stainless models

Do not know much about this brand at all. Will do some research. I do like the clean feel to the face. They do look pretty basic (not saying this is a bad thing). I am assuming the quality is where the value comes from. I do not like soft bands but I am sure they have other options.

The latest trinket I'm hankering for is a Vietnam era Zodiac Sea Wolf like this one. Depending on condition you can pick one up for $500-$5K

If you are going to dump 13.9k on a Panerai you might as well buy a Rolex at grey market prices. It will likely keep appreciating unlike the Panerai.

I have a good rapport with them but I am tired of waiting. Probably 100+ people on list for a sub

Your phone has a clock, dweeb. And wearing watches makes your fat arm look like a bratwurst.

While you're fumbling in your picket for your phone I've already casually glanced at my wrist.
