Picked it up last week. Hasn’t left my wrist since. Jubilee is so comfortable compared to oyster. Much lighter.

yes I have expressed interest in a DJ41 white gold/steel with Jubilee, thought that might be a bit easier to get than a Sub. It's only been a handful of months though, figured it would happen by now since I have some history there but alas haven't had either offered to me yet

I owned a PAM 005 for a while. I loved the watch but ended up selling. No one knew what it was or was familiar with the brand, but this is Louisiana.

While I could never afford to buy one I did trade a shotgun for one and I love it. You can literally wear it with anything from shorts and flip flops to jeans or whatever.

I owned the Seamaster GMT years

The problem I have with the Seamaster GMT is the helium release valve. Granted nobody is going to use a helium release valve on a diver, but they're damn sure not going to use it on a GMT. At least it's recessed on the Ploprof.

They’re pricey the stainless is 8100.

The black which is apparently some type of carbon fiber material is 13900. Really not keen on that price but I love the look of it. Only started seriously considering as Submariner grey prices got ridiculous…almost double their retail price

Panarai owners
I didn’t know if this thread was going to be about some fancy car I don’t know about or a misspelling for Panera Bread franchise.

no real experience with those particular pieces but I have owned a 111 since 2009. Solid piece, never had any issues. As far as value retention it's been ok because I bought it right in the peak of the recession.

Have owned: 0048 (traded for an IWC flieger chrono 3717), 0116 (sold), 0111 (one with applied numeral dial, one with sandwich dial - both sold) 0164 (still have, would be happy to dump) and 0183 (still have, will most likely keep, though I never wear). If I could have one back out of the list it would be the 116 (Titanium case w/ tobacco dial - easily my favorite out of the old Luminor models).

I favor the newer 42 mm "1950" style cases over the old blockier 44 mm ones, and would consider wearing one of those. I didn't read this whole thread, but I'm sure there are people on here telling you to not pay retail. The value holding on these stinks right now, so unless you are sure you'll love it forever, get one that someone has decided wasn't right for them.

I like a smaller watch than an Panny - 5 digit rolex sports models are the perfect size on my wrist. I also generally prefer bracelets as opposed to leather bands. Over my 30 some years of screwing around with watches, I've moved from my only premium watch being a Sub date to IWC/Omega/Panerai/JLC heavy, back to Rolex centric (including Tudor). They are classic, steady, and just what I like. I do hate the way things have gone with acquisition, but I'm fortunate enough to have an in with two AD's, though I'm not really in the market. I think the grey market prices are insane, and I hate where that whole deal is now.

Lots of stolen Rolex subs and sea dwellers from Katrina are still popping up on the secondary market. Bunch of cops I know got one and we’re trading them.
