That's awesome. Your're in my prayers!

Prayers to you. We all take life for granted. I hope you pull thru as quick as possible and get back to life.

Fight the good fight! As someone who was given very short time to live and was on a transplant list for more than 13 years in two places, I know what you have been feeling. A strong will, family support, and prayer can overcome anything. 15 years later I'm still hear and I'm cured. Praying for you bro!

Thanks for the update. I believe I mentioned to you, in your earlier threads, a couple of Iona College related thoughts:
The Iona College motto is, "Certa Bonum Certamen", "Fight the good Fight". Clearly you are fighting the good fight and I will pray that you are given the strength to continue.
And a quote from former Iona College Men's basketball coach, Jimmy V., "Don't Give Up. Don't Ever Give Up!"
Know that I will say one for you and yours. God Bless!

From your post, I assume you received capecitabine (Xeloda) and oxaliplatin?
No matter how good the pathology reading is at the time of your surgery, do not underestimate the benefit from additional chemotherapy after surgery.

I promise I will do the chemo Doc but I might fight them if they try to get me to go the oral route. That really was the worst so far.

I cannot wait for you to watch the Tigers kick butt on BYU. And the next 30 plus opening day games. Winner Winner Chicken Dinner. Geaux.

Wow this is awesome!!!
Hang in there, i had a whipple four years ago this month. The first month was awful, but hang in there. It gets better and better. I rarely even think about now, besides my insulin pump haha.
As someone who has had several family members who had or needed the Whipple procedure I wish you much wellness. Several of mine have not even been able to have it and of course the end results were as expected.
Currently a sibling is undergoing chemo in hopes of a Whipple procedure in the fall.
I light a candle and pray to my god for them and all of you to endure this and survive. The big C is my families nemesis me notwithstanding.
Good luck to all.
