Sounds like the further south you can go/afford to go the better off you'll be. Makes sense

Eight of us went to PCB in 91. Had a blast. Second afternoon we pulled beach chairs out to the edge of the strip and just at there and talked shite with everyone in the bumper to bumper traffic as they drove by. Had an ice chest sitting next to us full of beer. Cops came by and shot the shite with us and passersby’s for about 10 minutes. All they said about the beer was to keep it between the street and the ocean. Said they didn’t care what the frick we did between those two points. Just don’t take it on the road. Don’t think I saw a fight the entire week. Drank, smoked, and screwed. Great week.

Funny story my Dad told me about the strip .

In the mid 70s he was a teenager down there with his buddy. He told me back then on one side of the strip Drinking was allowed and the other side it wasn’t.

After getting high and drunk my Dad and his friend venture out on the wrong side of the strip with beer in tow drinking and walking around.

They get arrested and thrown in the jail. That night a biker dude is put in there for bar fighting. , Then a streaker is put in there with them completely naked.

After a couple of hours the biker guy is bored or something and throws the streaker guy over a stall in the cell and starts spanking him with his belt. My Dad and his friend think its hilarious and even the cops get in on it with their belts.

After all that my Dad, his friend and the biker dude are let out … with the cop saying

“okay boys yall get out of here, it always good to have a good laugh”

The 70s… a different time.

I could have sworn they were on the up-and-up making things less trashy in PCB. I thought that they implemented some rules and laws to deter. Guess not.

I imagine they may have become more relaxed on things as Miami became the big spring break spot, so PCB was getting less of the big crowds. Now that Miami has cracked down a lot, looks like the crowds have all migrated back to PCB.

How do they afford spring break? Hotels? Travel? Etc

Did you never do a spring break trip as a college student? Everyone squeeze in one car to drive to the destination. Then everyone stays in the same room to split the fare like 6-8 ways.

Charles Barkley knew it was trash from the start.

The place the Pelicans go when their season is over, they get to drive on down to Galveston and play in that dirty ole water.

Spring break 94

1994 to 1998 down there was amazing. I can remember my sophomore year taking $300 cash for the week and coming home with like $100 still left over it was insane how cheap stuff was and I was eating 2 meals a day and had all the alcohol I could drink.

Went PCB in '94 for our high school senior trip.

Sitting out on Miracle Stip Parkway and drinking ALOT of beer were the highlights.

Kenny Chesney has a song -I Go Back-that reminds me of that week.

31yrs later I have an exwife, 2 grown kids, 6 grandkids and am retired.
But I still go back and remember being young and wild and free on PCB!

PCB in '88 was unreal. High school senior trip- 9 dudes, 1 big room with a dinette. Legendary the things I saw/did. Mad respect for Livingston parish skanks forever!

In 1964, my nephew was born in Appalachicola. On the way down, we passed through PCB. There was a girl (late teens/early twenties) walking along the highway topless. I was 9 years old at the time. My first live boobies! After we passed my mom said, "Did I see what I thought I saw?" Dad just smiled and said "Yep."

Gotta make it suck for a while until those that we don’t speak of stop coming.

Then when the normal spring breakers show up it will go back to normal

PCB is a shithole to start with on a normal day.

Adding the wretched refuse of Spring Break '25 is terrible.

PCB serves a purpose and every young man should experience it no more than twice. I say keep it trashy.

Hey easy there Sky Driver.

I was there forty years ago at Uncle Sam’s bequest and handled all affairs with the appropriate military-minded tactical response that was dictated by each and every situation accordingly.

I.e. if it was female and was breathing I performed the best service our military allowed per AFR’s. :)
