You were allowed to leave the state while on parole?
Weird.

Not even during bad weather here.
For those leaving Cali, please don't come here. My property taxes are low and my power is dependable, and I don't want either of those to change.

That poor company is in a lose-lose situation with the Cali whackos.
If they leave the power on and their lines start a fire, everyone bitches about it and sues them.
If they turn off the power, everyone bitches about not having power.

You know those threads where people say California sucks/shite on California? This is an example
Of why

Wasn't Enron famous for unnecessary blackouts in CA during late 90s early 00s to make short term energy spikes and then sell for more profit?

Bingo.
I don’t even think a permanent generator would be feasible in such a situation because you likely couldn’t get natural gas and being dependent on deliveries of fuel to keep the tank full potentially leaves you SOL if you can’t get it for some reason.

Yes, but they were an energy trading corporation sending energy cross country.
This is about distribution lines being shut down because they are sparking in high wind and causing the uncleared brush to catch fire.

Congrats on living in a shite hole. At least in Louisiana we may be a shite hole but our power doesn't get turned off just to be turned off.

At least all that dry brush left in it’s natural state because muh environment will no longer be lit ablaze by California’s failing infrastructure.
With as little rainfall that youall get, it will just ignite next year.

My BIL worked in San Tome, off the coast of Africa, and found that the electricity was dependable for two hours most afternoons.

Do Californians still think it is a good idea to blame wildfires on the power company so they can sue the company into bankruptcy? I’ll bet not so many of them are convinced that was a good idea any more.
They still hate clearing fire lanes because it could disturb the habitat too much... Dumb hippies.

You can add SDG&E to the list. Doing the same thing to me in San Diego. Oh yeah, and between the two they caused the biggest two and most destructive wildfires in history.
